This paper proposes, for the first time, a concept for the utilization of oil sludge using a combustion flame sustained by gas produced during hydrate regasification. The experiments were carried out on a setup comprising a combustion chamber, a hydrate regasification unit, a liquid fuel injection system, and a gas analyzer for continuous monitoring of flue gas composition (CO, CO2, NOx, SO2, O2). Based on the data obtained, novel empirical equations were derived to establish stable combustion conditions, considering variations in the liquid-to-gas fuel flow rate ratio (Gl/Gg). Stable co-combustion of hydrate gas with fuel oil was achieved at Gl/Gg ratios between 19 and 21, and with oil sludge at ratios between 25 and 27, owing to the lower heating value of the sludge. The presence of water vapor in the hydrate gas (≈30 wt%) reduced emissions, with CO and NOx decreasing by 11–15%, and SO2 by 5–12% compared to pure methane combustion. Concurrently, burnout efficiency increased, resulting in 2.4–4.3% higher CO2 concentrations. An equation for estimating combustion efficiency is proposed, incorporating factors such as flame stability, droplet size, flame angle, and temperature. A scaling method for calculating the dissociation time of gas hydrate powder was developed, accounting for variations in layer thickness, particle diameter, and coolant temperature. The results obtained provide a basis for the development of an energy-efficient and environmentally friendly technology for oil sludge disposal at oil fields and in remote communities
