| Özet: | The combustion of traditional fuels for heat and power generation produces significant amounts of flue gases. The release of these gases into the air has detrimental environmental effects. In comparison to traditional fuel combustion without carbon capture, modern flue gas separation technologies that enable CO2 capture require 15–30% more energy, depending on the specific technology used. The use of hydrates for gas separation is a promising approach, as it requires fewer resources and results in 15–20% lower operating costs compared to chemical absorption methods, which are currently regarded as the most effective gas separation technique in industrial applications. This study reports experimental findings on the production of carbon dioxide hydrates from flue gases from fossil fuel combustion for their separation. The necessary conditions for effective carbon dioxide separation from a gas mixture were identified, resulting in a capture efficiency of over 92%. A mathematical equation for predicting the time of СО2 separation from flue gases in industrial settings was derived. A design concept based on the findings was developed for hydrate-based flue gas separation and carbon dioxide capture in industrial enterprises. The proposed design concept will cut down CO2 emissions and provide a way to detoxify process water ponds Текстовый файл AM_Agreement |
