| Summary: | Title screen Uranium extraction from seawater and seawater desalination are crucial for energy security and freshwater supply, and their integration is important for sustainable development. In this study, a bioinspired Janus fibrous membrane (AOPP/PMHA–C) was developed to simultaneously achieve solar–enhanced uranium extraction and desalination. The hydrophilic adsorption layer (AOPP) was prepared by electrospinning PAN/PVP followed by chemical modification, while the hydrophobic porous photothermal layer (PMHA–C) was fabricated via humidity–induced phase separation. The bilayer structure enables continuous water transport and localized photothermal heating at the membrane–solution interface, thereby promoting water evaporation and U(VI) diffusion and adsorption. Under real outdoor conditions with an average solar intensity of 560.6 W m−2, the membrane achieved a cumulative water collection of 3.21 kg m−2 within 7 h and a U(VI) adsorption capacity of 49.82 mg g−1. The membrane also exhibited good mechanical strength (11.43 MPa). This work provides an effective strategy for integrating seawater desalination and uranium extraction Текстовый файл AM_Agreement |
