Dual-phase mid-entropy ceramics (DPMECs) (Hf,Zr)(C,N)–(Hf,Zr)B2 were obtained by hot pressing in a protective argon atmosphere using commercial powders of zirconium carbide and nitride, hafnium carbide and nitride, and their borides. The formation of the dual-phase structure was determined by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray phase analysis. Additionally, hafnium-zirconium carbonitride and hafnium-zirconium diboride were produced. In comparison to single-phase carbonitride and diboride, it was discovered that the formation of the dual-phase structure is accompanied by an increase in mechanical properties: hardness up to 29.1 GPa, Young's modulus up to 550 GPa, fracture toughness up to 5.57 MPa m1/2, and flexural strength up to 693 MPa. Furthermore, the achieved properties exceed the values based on the rule of mixtures. For the first time, the behavior of materials of this class during oxidation was studied. It was found that the dual-phase ceramics (Hf,Zr)(C,N)–(Hf,Zr)B2 oxidize with the formation of monoclinic oxide (Hf,Zr)O2 on the surface with a maximum mass gain of 122.1 mg/cm2 after 120 min at 1200 °C. Two distinct stages of oxidation were identified: the initial stage follows a linear law with an oxidation constant of 0.97 mg‧cm−2‧min−1, while the subsequent stage according to a parabolic law with an oxidation constant of 10.74 mg2‧cm−4‧min−1. In non-isothermal oxidation, it was shown that the dual-phase ceramics (Hf,Zr)(C,N)–(Hf,Zr)B2 commence active oxidation at a temperature of 885 °C
