| Summary: | Chapter 6 addresses the primary aspects of digital substation (DS) design in line with modern requirements expressed in the IEC 61850 standard, ensuring the safety, reliability, continuity, and quality of electrical power. The foundational document for working with DS is the IEC 61850 standard, which offers comprehensive information on the organization of automation systems in DS, taking into account the use of specific data transmission protocols. A brief analysis of the chapters of the standard is presented, highlighting the most significant aspects of each.
