Summary:Title screen
It is shown that a switched mutually inductive-capacitor pulse generator with no spark gap or another high-voltage switch reliably and with a long service life can supply a high-voltage consumer with current pulses. Such a consumer could be represented by, for example, a magnetron in a frequency-pulse operating mode at a power of up to 1 kW and more. Increasing nonlinear adjustment characteristics for the voltage of a resistive consumer and falling linear external VA characteristics for the voltage and current of this consumer have been experimentally obtained with increasing relative duration in the switch (IGBT transistor) on state, as well as with increasing consumer current. A calculation technique for the adjustment and external characteristics of the generator has been developed, which gives results coinciding with the experiment and can be used to determine the optimum consumer resistance for the maximum power and to calculate the generator parameters in the course of designing
