| Sammanfattning: | Title screen In this work, the characterization of Ag nanoparticles (AgNPs) and their applications in nanomedicine are discussed. Several reports in the literature mentioned that AgNPs (Argovit™) possess high biomedical activity, high stability, and low toxicity; however, the reasons for these properties are still unclear. Therefore, five lots of AgNPs prepared under various conditions were investigated via HRTEM, UVsingle bondvisible spectroscopy, XPS, and luminescence techniques. The results revealed a series of experimental findings inconsistent with the current AgNP model reported, including a Ag core capped by PVP molecules. Here, we propose a novel structural model for AgNP formulations that is in good agreement with the physicochemical characterization, which consists of PVP nanohydrogels incorporating Ag cores and/or Ag cores capped by PVP molecules Текстовый файл AM_Agreement |
