Sammanfattning:Nanodiamonds (ND) were studied as nanosized carriers of medical isotope 177Lu. Conditions for preparation of a ND suspension with immobilized 177Lu in solutions which meet the requirements for intravenous administration of radiopharmaceuticals based on medical isotope 177Lu were determined. The possibility of quantitative bonding of lutetium with ND in isotonic solutions which have necessary pH and minimal amount of ND was demonstrated. The parameters of Freundlich and Langmuir adsorption isotherms and thermodynamic parameters of adsorption in optimal conditions for the most promising sample of ND were calculated. In vivo experiments for determination of biodistribution of 177Lu labeled ND in CD1 mice 4 and 48 h after intravenous injection were conducted. The highest percentage of isotope accumulation was observed in liver and spleen, and these values did not significantly decrease after 48 h; the increased accumulation in bone tissue was also detected. It was noted that 177Lu sorbed onto ND can be promisingly injected directly into tumor for therapy
