| Shrnutí: | Title screen The study investigates the sulfonation process of linear alkylbenzene (LAB) using SO3 to produce alkylbenzene sulfonic acid (ABSA), a key intermediate in surfactant manufacturing. Three industrial AB samples and one ABSA product were analyzed to evaluate their physicochemical properties, including density, viscosity, water content, and isomeric composition. The quality of AB was assessed using gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS), and the resulting ABSA was evaluated for sulfonic acid content, sulfuric acid concentration, unsulfonated compounds, and color index. Analytical techniques included Stabinger viscometry (SVM 4001), Shatox water analyzers, and titrimetric methods. Experimental results showed that only one of the three AB samples met the required specifications and was suitable for sulfonation. ABSA properties were found to be within acceptable industrial limits, although slight deviations in non-sulfonated matter were observed. The study provides a validated methodology for feedstock selection and product quality monitoring, supporting future development of industrial process optimization and mathematical modeling Текстовый файл |
