Estimation of the neutron yield generated by neutron source based on pulsed power proton accelerator in 7Li(p, n)7Be reaction

| Shrnutí: | Title screen In this paper the estimation of the neutron yield in 7Li(p, n)7Be reaction was performed. Energy losses in neutron generating targets for ion beams with wide energy spectra were calculated using SRIM software. Lithium, lithium fluoride and lithium oxide were considered as target materials. The maximum numbers of protons per cm2 were calculated for the materials under the condition of a thermally insulated targets in restrictions of melting and vaporization of the targets.
