| Summary: | Title screen The article presents the results of the experimental studies of heat and mass transfer processes occurring together under conditions of intense phase (evaporation of moisture) and thermochemical (interaction of fuel and oxidizer, formation of anthropogenic combustion products) transformations during the ignition and combustion of dry and wet coal particles. A mathematical model of the process of ignition of moisture-saturated coal particles has also been developed, which differs from the known ones by a detailed description of a complex of gas-phase and heterogeneous thermochemical reactions occurring both in the boundary layer of gases surrounding the fuel particle and in its porous structure. A comparative analysis of the theoretical and experimental values of ignition delay times and an analysis of the concentrations of anthropogenic gases (in particular, NO) has shown their good agreement. An important new element of the developed mathematical model is the description of the process of formation of nitric acid vapors during the induction period. The possibility of NOx sequestration under conditions of ignition of a wet coal fuel particle due to the binding of NOx during interaction with water vapor, the formation of nitric acid vapor and the subsequent intensive interaction of acid vapor with metal oxides formed during the thermal decomposition of coal during heating has been shown Текстовый файл AM_Agreement |
