Coherent 𝜋0⁢𝜋0 photoproduction on the deuteron in the region of 𝑑*⁡(2380)

A possible signature of the 𝑑*⁡(2380) dibaryon in the reaction 𝛾⁢𝑑→𝜋0⁢𝜋0⁢𝑑 is explored. To calculate the conventional coherent 𝜋0⁢𝜋0 photoproduction on a deuteron, the 2⁢𝜋⁢MAID model has been updated by fitting its parameters to the set of the modern 𝛾⁢𝑁→𝜋⁢𝜋⁢𝑁 data. Besides the Born and the resonance terms the new model includes additional background in the partial waves with the spin-parity 𝐽𝜋=32± and isospin 𝐼=12. The radiative 𝑑*→𝛾⁢𝑑 width and the contribution of the 𝑑*⁡(2380) component to the 𝛾⁢𝑑→𝜋0⁢𝜋0⁢𝑑 amplitude are evaluated by comparing the resulting theoretical cross section with the data. The sensitivity of some polarization observables to the 𝑑*⁡(2380) contribution is investigated
