Рассматриваются причины и факторы, способствовавшие цифровизации топливно-энергетического комплекса России на рубеже XX-XXI вв. Выделяются их четыре основные группы: научно-технологические, политические, экономические и социальные. В целом бизнес, общество и государство сумели тогда заложить основы снижения зависимости от внешних факторов воздействия на этот процесс. Рост внутренних возможностей распространения цифровых технологий в отраслях ТЭК сдерживался отсутствием межотраслевого научно-технологического центра, способного генерировать и претворять в жизнь передовые технологии. The relevance of the work is due to the low level of historical analysis of the turn of the 20th - 21st centuries in domestic historiography, which especially applies to scientific and technical topics. In this regard, the digitalization of the fuel and energy complex (FEC) of Russia is of particular interest. Analysis of the causes and factors of this process reflects general trends characteristic of all sectors of the national economy. At the same time, the authors' attention to the digitalization of the fuel and energy complex is due to the high level of its impact on Russia's energy security. The content of the article is based on information from documents in federal and regional archives, as well as a wide list of literature, primarily scientific and technical. Research methods used: comparative method, historical-typological analysis, comparative-historical and problem-chronological. © И.С. Соловенко, А.А. Рожков, К.А. Пинжин, А.П. Жолбин, 2024 The authors identify four main groups of causes and factors of this impact: scientific and technological, political, economic and social. In our opinion, the scientific and technological factor was of primary importance in the digitalization of the Russian fuel and energy complex. The article differentiates the external and internal components of this factor. The authors emphasize that, despite the predominance of imports of digital technologies, as well as the strengthening of international cooperation, enterprises of the Russian fuel and energy complex have developed internal capabilities for creating and selling digital products. In this matter, a positive role was played by such trends as the expansion and strengthening of the role of the state and society, as well as new forms and methods of economic strategy and tactics of fuel and energy complex enterprises. Thanks to the success of this activity, enterprises of the fuel and energy complex have become the leaders in the digital transformation of the Russian economy. The final conclusion is that business, society and the state during the period under review laid the foundations for reducing dependence on external factors for the dynamic implementation of digital products. An obvious problem that hampered the growth of internal opportunities for the dissemination of digital technologies in the Russian fuel and energy complex was the lack of a large intersectoral scientific and technological center capable of generating and implementing advanced technologies.
