Данный район является одним из мест компактного проживания потомков немецких переселенцев, подвергнутых насильственному перемещению в первой половине XX в. На основе анкетирования и записей устной речи представителей российских немцев указанного района Томской области выделены предметно тематические группы, характеризующие коммуникативную мощность используемого на данной территории идиома. Социолингвистическое анкетирование показало, что в местах компактного проживания поволжских немцев Парабельского района наблюдается языковая ситуация, характеризующаяся постепенной утратой немецким языком сфер своего использования. Полученные данные свидетельствуют о том, что 8,3% опрошенных парабельских немцев используют в повседневном общении немецкий язык. Доминантные позиции занимает русский язык (91,3%), служащий основным средством общения среди рассматриваемого этнического меньшинства. Немаловажное значение по результатам проведенного опроса приобретает вопрос о придании особого статуса немецкого языка на региональном и федеральном уровнях. This article presents the preliminary results of a sociolinguistic analysis of the language situation in the territory of the Parabel district of the Tomsk region. This area is one of the places of compact residence of the descendants of German immigrants subjected to forced displacement in the first half of the 20th century. On the basis of questionnaires and recordings of oral speech of representatives of Russian Germans in the specified region of the Tomsk Region, subject specific groups are identified that testify to the communicative power of the idiom used in this territory. The sociolinguistic questionnaire showed that in the places of compact residence of Volga Germans in the Parabel region a language situation is observed which is characterized by the gradual loss of their use by the German language. The data obtained indicate that 8.3% of the interviewed Parabelian Germans use German in everyday communication. The dominant position is occupied by the Russian language (91.3%), which serves as the main means of communication among the ethnic minority in question. According to the results of the survey, the issue of giving a special status to the German language is of no small importance. 41.5% of ethnic minority representatives spoke in favor of implementing this initiative at the national level due to the small number of Russian Germans who speak this language. Within the framework of individual constituent entities of the Federation, in particular, Tomsk region, the vast majority of respondents (100%) reacted positively to the equal status of the German language in comparison with other national languages that are widespread in the studied Siberian region. The collected data reflecting the opinions of ethnic Germans surveyed regarding the activities of organizations aimed at preserving the culture and language of Russian Germans in the Tomsk Region is also noteworthy.
