Дизраэли “Tancred: or, the New Crusade” («Танкред, или Новый крестовый поход») на русский язык во второй половине XIX в. В статье акцентируется внимание на передаче образа главного героя данного произведения при переводе. Актуальность работы обусловлена проблематикой рецептивной эстетики, сравнительного литературоведения и вопросами диалога культур. Научная новизна заключается в рассмотрении материала, впервые введенного в научный оборот. В результате исследования выявлена интенция анонимного переводчика, с одной стороны, передать художественное своеобразие политического романа, сохранив его проблематику и поэтику, а с другой - сделать роман созвучным русскому литературному процессу второй половины XIX в. и адаптировать его для восприятия массовым читателем. The paper considers poetics of the Russian translation of B. Disraeli’s political novel “Tancred: or, the New Crusade” executedin the second half of the XIX century. The article focuses on the problem of the main character’s image transfer when translating.Relevance of the study lies in the fact that the author discusses topical problems of receptive aesthetics, comparative literary studies and crosscultural communication. Scientific originality of the research involves introducing previously unknown linguisticmaterial. The findings allow identifying an anonymous translator’s intention, on the one hand, to transfer artistic originalityof the political novel preserving its problematics and poetics, and, on the other hand, to make it in tune with the Russian literarytrends of the second half of the XIX century and to adapt the text for the general reader. |
