An experimental research of the process of thermolysis of rubber waste at a steam temperature of 500° C was conducted. The characteristics of the obtained ash residue (carbon) in an amount of 33.8 wt.% partially meet the requirements of ISO 1867-75.6. and are comparable with the grade of carbon black P324. These characteristics include the specific surface (80 m{2}/g) and the pH of the liquid suspension (7.84). At the same time, high value of the ash residue (18.44 wt.%) and sulfur (over 2 wt.%) was recorded in the obtained material. Elemental analysis of the ash showed a high content of Zn (56%) and Si (11%).
