The analysis of the possibility of sawmill waste utilization during continuous combustion in a mixture with coal is presented. The conditions and characteristics of the particles ignition of fuel mixtures based on coal dust and sawmill waste at various mass concentrations of the fuel components have been experimentally determined. The experiments were carried out in an environment heated to high (from 600 ° C to 1000 ° C) air temperatures. Registration of heating processes of studied pulverized mixed fuels which were rather promising for thermal power engineering, their subsequent ignition and combustion was carried out using a high-speed video camera (image format - 1024 Ч 1024 pixels, frame rate - up to 105 per second), ensuring high discretization of the recording results for characteristic process times. It has been established that the increase in the proportion of wood components in the fuel granule significantly reduces the values of the ignition delay times of all the studied mixtures based on D grade coal. The limit of stable ignition of such fuels is revealed.
