| Izvleček: | Title screen Silumin is currently one of the most popular alloys based on aluminum. Alloying is one of the ways to control silumin service properties. The work is aimed at identifying and analyzing the laws of evolution of phase composition, defective substructure and tribological properties of AK12 silumin of eutectic composition, subjected to multicycle (in a single vacuum space) alloying of the surface layer with titanium. The thickness of the titanium film in each depositionirradiation cycle was 0.5 [mu]m. The number of cycles was 1, 5, and 10. Alloying was carried out on "COMPLEX" setup, developed and created at Institute of High Current Electronics SB RAS (HCEI SB RAS). A study of the structure of silumin in the initial state and after modification was carried out by the methods of X-ray diffraction analysis, optical, scanning, and transmission diffraction electron microscopy. Wear resistance was determined by dry friction at room temperature. The paper discovered the dissolution of initial silicon and intermetallic inclusions in the 30 [mu]m thick surface layer, and the formation of a submicro-nanocrystalline multiphase structure that has a wear resistance 14 times higher than cast silumin.
