Streszczenie:Title screen
The effect of ZrO 2 addition (1 and 2 wt%) on the microstructural properties of the lithium ferrite (LiFe 5 O 8 ) was investigated. Samples were made according to standard ceramic method. Sintering of lithium ferrite was conducted at 1100°C for 120 minutes in laboratory oven. The microstructure of the sintered samples was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy using a Hitachi TM-3000 microscope. The average grain size was determined by the method of intersecting lines. Density and porosity were investigated by hydrostatic weighing. It is established that with an increase of the ZrO 2 additive, the density of the samples gradually decreases, and an increase in porosity is observed. The distribution of zirconium dioxide at the grain boundaries leads to a decrease in the average grain size.
