The article describes the titanomagnetite decomposition by means of NH4F and NH4HF2 in a rotary furnace. The process product contains the ammonium fluoride complex compounds of iron, titanium, silicon. We determined the influence of temperature and reagent excess on the product yield. We revealed that the decomposition is efficient to conduct by means of ammonium hydrofluoride. The temperature should be maintained at 210 °C for 2 hours. The efficient reagent excess is 30 %.
