The paper presents the results of investigation of the composition and properties of crude oil extracted using physical and chemical technologies for enhancement of oil recovery at various development objects of the productive pool. The change in oil characteristics resulting from the application of the gel-forming composition can be a consequence of the redistribution of the filtration flows. The surface tension at the oil-water-rock boundary decreases due to the use of an oil-displacing composition, which results in the displacement of the residual oil and the involvement of new unrecovered oil into the development.
