The research article examines the mechanism of interaction between imaginative and logical thinking when students of fine arts specialities solve creative tasks on volume-spatial and stylized representation of visual information. The article gives a new technology for possible correction of thinking types asymmetry in students with the predominance of imaginative or logical thinking. The technology of learning stylized images also contributes to the development of divergent thinking necessary for future designers.
