The paper is told about features of the professional focused training in didactic aspect: examples of trainingtasks on Russian as foreign, the authentic texts on electrical equipment developed on material and reflectingfunctional and cognitive specifics of engineering communication are presented. In modern conditions specialrelevance is acquired by the professional focused approach to training of a foreign language in not languagehigher education institutions which provides formation at students of ability of foreign-languagecommunication in concrete professional, business, scientific spheres and situations taking into account featuresof professional thinking. In communication it sets a task not only to seize skills of communication in a foreignlanguage, but also to acquire knowledge in the specialty. Language for the special purposes is a combination ofthe professional focused functional option of language and special skills based on professional and linguisticknowledge. In scientific and methodical literature didactic developments on the example of all-engineeringtexts which purpose – to train in scientific style of the Russian speech are generally presented. Such trainingmaterials are made by the teacher of language without features of professional thinking of this or thatengineering specialty. In the real work it is shown that it is expedient to form and fix speech competences ofthe pupil of the advanced grade level on highly specialized material as engineering activity and high schooltechnical education are very specific and exert impact on formation of engineering thinking.
