The objective of this study is evaluation of the effect of the second order polynomial load model application for both voltage stability and transient stability analysis of the synchronous motor. For these purposes, the analytical method of obtaining the quadratic polynomial coefficients is developed and used for further test procedures. Researches of voltage stability are based on identification of the limited voltage value considering the constraints. Analysis of transient stability operates from behavior of the rotor angle in the time domain. The results demonstrate that the second polynomial load model must be recognized for both voltage stability and transient stability researches. The results are presented in tables and figures.
