In the given article the experience of the joint master program realization at Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU, Tomsk, Russian Federation) and Czech Technical University (CVUT, Prague, Czech Republic) are presented. The program «Electric Power Generation and Transportation» meets the requirements of the national educational standards of the Russian Federation and the Czech Republic for licensed programs «Optimization of developing power supply systems» (specialization "Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering") and «Economics and Management of Power Engineering» of TPU and CVUT respectively.Joint program is based on two different profiles (mostly technical - TPU, mostly economic - CVUT), this leads to the inability to include all subjects studied in the partner universities in the curriculum of Joint Program in mother university. The CVUT students carry out a feasibility study of technical solutions adopted in the TPU part of Master thesis. Thus, we can talk about the multipurpose character of final qualification paper. This allows students to get unique competences in the field of economics, management and engineering sciences. The solution of combining the technical and economic profiles in partner universities is described. It is paid attention to mismatching of curriculum and differences of educational standards in partner universities. The Joint program implemented since 2011. During this time, the program has successfully completed several dozen students from Russia and the Czech Republic.
