Riassunto:Title screen
The history of any people is unfolding not only through time but also in space. Fully formed and established ethnos tends to expand its boundaries, exploring the near and distant countries, regions and even continents. The diasporas have a major impact on host countries. They change their demographic structure, ethnic and confessional structure. The diasporas do not only maintain their traditions, customs, rites, but often impose alien values to a society. The main function of the diaspora is to keep its ethnic identity or sense of belonging to an ethnic group, which is manifested primarily in ethnic self-name. The diaspora impact is growing influencing not only on domestic, but also on foreign policy of host countries, considering that large diasporas possessing significant financial resources, actively lobby the interests of those countries which until recently were their homeland and with whom they have close relations. As the process of diasporization deepens and takes more new shapes and the diasporas' roles and influence are strengthening, the migrant-receiving countries are challenged to develop and conduct a specific policy in relation to these new ethnic and cultural structures.
