The authors investigate the possibility of producing metallic tantalum nanopowders by electric explosion of a wire. The basic properties of the obtained powder were examined by the methods of low-temperature nitrogen adsorption, atomic emission spectral analysis, as well as by the use of transmission and scanning electron microscopes.
