The methods for surface property modification based on application of advanced vacuum facilities are presented. Efficient technological processes based on new vacuum-plasma facilities generating gas-discharge plasma by an arc nonself-sustained low-pressure discharge from a hot cathode, which are capable of improving surface properties of metal parts and components, are shown.
