| Riassunto: | Title screen The article discusses design, structuring and implementation of physics course that is offered to technical university students. The achievements in fundamental sciences, in particular physics, are essential for many fields of engineering and cannot be ignored in thorough engineering education. For that reason, the multilateral engineering education is very important. At the same time specification of knowledge is needed due to the strong increase of the information load. However these points represent two controversial opinions on the role and importance of general physics course for engineering education, that ideally has to be integrated in the education programme. It This requires balancing the course of physics implementing interdisciplinary approach to design the course with relation to technical and engineering sciences. The mathematics is also of importance, as it is the main apparatus for describing of physical laws and phenomena.Combining the elements of theoretical and experimental physics is an important methodological problem. The content of the physics course reflects the diverse nature of the relationship between elements of the system object and its environment (the object of professional activity). The course is implemented by the composition interaction and combination of full-scale, virtual and simulation approaches. Tasks are designed and selected for the lab works in accordance with their level of difficulty. They require the knowledge of different sections of the course and satisfy the principles of the augmented knowledge, practical skills and competences development.
