Valuing ecosystem services plays an important role in strategic planning of regional development. The practical experience of evaluating the ecosystem services for developing the mechanisms of managing and preserving the landscapes proved to be promising in Tomsk region. This paper shows the results of monetary estimations of natural objects in Tomsk region and discusses the options of applying these results for solving management problems. Methodological approaches to the economical estimation suppose studying of the scope and type of landscape utilization, definition of its ecosystem services and determination of consumer groups. The paper gives proof for necessity of using the results of valuing ecosystem services for improving politics and approaches to natural landscape management.
