| 要約: | Title screen The role of a low-energy, high-current electron beam on the microstructural state of subsurface layers of a composite ZrO2(Y)-Al2O3 ceramic material is investigated. It is found out that irrespective of the initial porosity of the ceramic material an electron beam treatment gives rise to formation of a characteristic microstructure in the subsurface layers of the specimens. Grains are observed to orient towards the specimen surface. The layers immediately below the surface are characterized by finer grains than those in the bulk.
