The paper is devoted to modeling strategies of psychological coping with stressful situations, which is an urgent problem. Classification and factor models reflecting coping behavior styles typical for the first- and second-year undergraduate students of technical universities are built. The efficiency of applying classification models for solving the tasks of studying the peculiarities of coping strategies as the factors of forming students’ social-psychological competence is demonstrated (Tomsk Polytechnical University and Tomsk State University).
