The possibility for the direct plasmadynamic synthesis of dispersed crystalline boron carbide in a supersonic jet of boron carbon electrodischarged plasma flowing into a chamber filled with argon at ambient pressure and temperature is shown. Phase composition is determined using X-ray diffraction. Particle morphology is shown using electron microscopy.
