| Résumé: | Title screen The article deals with some aspects of religious institutions of a Jewish community in Tomsk in the mid-19th - in the early 20th century. In different national surroundings a prayerful house becomes the center of Jewish Diaspora habitation and a guarantee of ethnic self-consciousness and traditional culture reservation. Simultaneously Russian legislation and regional life peculiarities affect greatly the opportunities of the community existence as an independent social structure. These processes are contemplated in the article. |
