| Streszczenie: | Title screen We present experimental results of an investigation of the friction coefficient, microhardness, metallography, X-ray analysis and secondary ion mass spectrometry in R6M5, DU-55 and U-8 steels exposed to high power ion beams of nanosecond duration, with E = 0.2-0.6 MeV. A decrease in the friction coefficient under certain conditions and an increase in microhardness are demonstrated. Redistribution of elements, formation of craters and high compressive strains have been found in steels.
