The calculation method of nonstationary burning rate (NBR) of homogeneous and solid propellants within the limits of Zeldovich–Novozhilov phenomenological theory excluding the use of analytical formulae for the dependence of stationary burning rate on initial temperature is presented. The example of utilizing this method for calculation of transients in a semiconfined volume at sharp dump of pressure is considered.
