On multiphoton bremsstrahlung

Kinetic equations for the process of multiphoton bremsstrahlung of electrons in matter are used to derive the equations for the moments of the distributions of electrons over the number of emitted photons and over the energy loss. The equations for the moments are solved in the continuous slowing down approximation. It is shown that the moments of multiphoton distributions can be expressed in terms of the moments of the macroscopic differential cross section of the process. The results of analytical calculations have been compared with data of the Monte Carlo simulation.
