A continuous increase in intensity of metal working operations in mechanical engineering, changes in the structure, functional capabilities and cost of production facilities, and ever-growing use of high-strength materials, that generally have poor workability, require finding a package approach both to investigations of cutting tool capacities and to optimization of machining operations to achieve maximum technical and economic efficiency in operating automated manufacturing equipment and CNC machines.
