Comparative analysis of alcohol dependence syndrome of population in YamalNenets Autonomous District has been carried out. Materials and methods. All examined patient were divided into two groups: 50 patients (belonging to the indigenous peoples of the northern Siberia) and 85 patients (not indigenous peoples). Mean age of onset of alcohol consumption, duration of the first stage of alcoholism, alcohol tolerance, mean age of the onset of drinking bouts, mean age of the first and total number of hospitalizations, length of remission and type of intoxication were used as indices of comparison. Results. More malignant course of alcohol dependence syndrome of indigenous peoples in northern Siberia, according to all investigated parameters was revealed.
