| Gaia: | Title screen Based on the system approach, the article investigates the prognosis specificity for social systems development trajectories. It is demonstrated that conditions of transition to knowledge society determine the development of completely new features of social prognoses. Peculiarities and conditions of social prognosis, which provide the adequacy of control actions, are revealed. Recommendations on social prognosis under conditions of transition to knowledge society are developed, considering the specific features of social systems and external environment instability.
