Behavior and conditions of operations aredetermined. In microwave compressor using turnoncoupling for energy transfer the amplification10 dB at pulse width of 10 ns pulse power of500 kW and amplification 15 dB at pulse width2.7 ns, pulse power 1.5 MW were obtained. Theperiod of energy transfer was 50 ns and transferefficiency – 0.7. It was shown that picosecondpulses of 100 kW peak power at the amplificationof 3 dB can be formed by the short-time turn-on ofthe intermode coupling.
