The high-temperature (HT) oxidation behavior of Cr-coated E110 zirconium alloy welds were investigated. Cr coatings were deposited by magnetron sputtering. Cr-coated and uncoated samples were oxidized at temperature of 1100 °C for 2-90 min. Optical microscopy was used to study the microstructure of the cross section of samples. The weight gain (WG) of each sample was calculated, and the hardness was measured using the Vickers method.
