The regularities and mechanisms of friction stir processing of materials obtained by the addictive electron-beam wire technology were considered at this work. The studies carried out indicate a significant influence on the structure of the mixing zone of the parameters of the processing process and the configuration of the pin of the tool. Depending on the material of the workpieces being processed, various features of machining with a screw or square pin are possible. The instabilities that arise during the processing of additive-obtained products are associated with the structure of the material and the configuration of the tool pin.
