The simulation of a non-stationary process caused by a change in the flows of the light and heavy fractions of cascade is carried out using the example of the separation of germanium isotopes. The character of the change in the isotope concentration in the stages and flows of the cascade is shown depending on the final values of the flows. It has been established that in the course of a nonstationary process, it is possible to obtain isotopes of intermediate masses with a concentration significantly exceeding the maximum attainable values for a threeflow cascade.
