Tracer studies have long been known as a method for the determination of hydrodynamic connection between the wells or the filtration properties of reservoir rocks to determine the effectiveness of the support system of reservoir pressure at oil fields. In this paper we considered the influence of the composition of the formation water on the detection and stability of the most commonly used indicators in our studies, such as nitrate ions, phosphate ions, urea and thiourea. Instead of the traditional tracers have been proposed new substances that have a low detection limit and are more stable in the formation water.
