The influence of the geometric dimensions of the samples zirconium alloy Zr-1Ni-H when irradiated with X-rays on the amount of energy absorbed. Small samples or articles of zirconium absorb less x-ray quanta. The amount of absorbed energy is changed to 30-35% of the incident flux of X-rays. With the increase in crosssection of the product share of the absorbed energy is increased in proportion to a constant thickness. This effect is attributed to multiple scattering of X-rays. It leads to an uneven distribution of defects that can store hydrogen. heterogeneity of measurement conducted by the thermopower. The value of the thermoelectric powerchanges by more than 1.6 times. it depends on the amount of hydrogen in the sample, the dimensions and coordinates of the sample probe on the sample.
