The article presents the physico/chemical properties (pH, Eh, salinity), the content of uranium and other microcomponents (As, Li, B, Br, I, Sr) in saline lakes of the Kulunda steppe of the Altai Territory. It is shown that the soda lakes of this region have elevated U/238 content (up to 4 mg/l). The uranium content of lake waters positively correlates with the amount of carbonate and bicarbonate ions, as well as the pH of the lake waters. At the same time there is a negative correlation with the uranium mineralization. The data obtained confirm the assumption of the existence of uranium deposits of infiltration type, located along the eastern slope of Platov uplift in the north/westerly direction along the border with Kazakhstan.
