The investigation of titanium carbide- HSS binder powders obtained by laminar burning self-propagating high-temperature synthesis is presented. The phase composition, microstructure and morphology of the powders obtained by crushing and size grinding of SPS sinter were discussed. It is shown, that phase composition of powder changes depending on the amount of metal binder in sinter. The grain size of carbide phase decreases with increase in metal binder value.
