Optical metallography and SEM investigation of “TiC - Ni77Cr15Si3B2 alloy matrix” composite powders has been carried out. The composite powders were produced by selfpropagating high temperature synthesis method (SHS). Dispersity of TiC inclusions in the SHS product structure drastically depends on the alloy powder content in the reaction powder mixtures.
