Perspectivesfor large-scale application of nickel nanopowders are limited by the lack of nanoparticles biotesting methods and data about environmental impact on their properties. This paper shows the effect of ionic strength of NaCl and MgCl2solutions on pH-change of aqueous suspensions of electroexplosive Ni nanoparticles with average particle size 100 nm. It has been shown that by increasing the ionic strength from 0.01 to 1.0 M pH of suspensions Na{+} -solution increases, meanwhile Mg{2+}-solution concentration practically does not influence on pH.
